BFA Thesis Exhibition - DISTORTED PERCEPTION - Alfred University 2022
DISTORTED PERCEPTION examines how queer identity and the body are mediated through technology and experience. This exhibition culminates with a cluster of monitors emits shifting color and pattern, forming a fragmented digital surface that both reveals and obscures the figure. The screens flicker between abstraction and representation, mirroring the instability of being seen and reflex of anonymity in the public view. By transforming the digital landscape into sculptural form, these works reflects on how visibility can both affirm and distort. The installation becomes a site of negotiation between self-recognition and erasure, where the body exists as data, reflection, and light.
