JONAH FIGUEROA-DALEY

He/They | Currently Based in: Philadelphia, PA

Born in Glendale, California and raised in Marin County, California,  Jonah Figueroa-Daley is an artist working in glass, sculpture, and installation. His practice evaluates the body, synthetic environments and their perceptions hold, support, and fail one another. Drawing from personal experience with clinical environments related to Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, he treats material as a site of negotiation. Their material selections explore fragility, resilience, and the poetics of maintenance; or lack thereof. They completed their BFA in Sculpture and dimensional studies at Alfred University (2022)  and received their MFA in Glass at The University of Wisconsin-Madison (2025). They have had their work published in the Corning Museum of Glass' yearly publication New Glass Review 44, been awarded funds from each of their respective alma maters  to continue their research in glass and material exploration. Additionally, they were awarded funds for their work from The Glass Art Society to attend their international conference in Detroit (2023) and in Arlington (2025).
